San Antonio, Texas-based EMBREY officially celebrates its 50th year in business on June 18, 2024, with a significant achievement over five decades of creating more than 50,000 residential units and more than 6 million square feet of commercial space.
“Certainly I had hopes when I started this journey in 1974 and this milestone is a remarkable moment in that journey,” said Walter Embrey, Jr., Founder and Chairman. “I am profoundly grateful to all who worked alongside me continuously over the years to shape EMBREY into the respected national organization it has become.”
Today, EMBREY has more than 500 team members working on multiple projects across Texas as well as in Arizona, Colorado, Tennessee, North Carolina and Florida, and is comprised of five distinct divisions:
– Investments – Builds strong relationships with institutional and private investors and business partners;
– Development –Acquires the land and develops concepts for consistently award-winning communities;
– Construction –Builds for EMBREY;
– Embrey Management Services –Nationally recognized team manages multifamily communities for EMBREY and for third-party clients; and,
– Corporate –Develops short- and long-term strategies and pulls together an incredible operational team.
The Executive Leadership Team is led by Trey Embrey, Walter’s son, a successful developer in his own right who rejoined EMBREY in 2017 to chart the course for the company’s future.
